Tulisa Contostavlos convinced single status will aid X Factor win

Tulisa Contostavlos is convinced having no boyfriend will help her win The X Factor again - because being single will keep her focused on the show.

The N-Dubz star gained victory on the series last year with Little Mix, and she's hoping to retain the winner's title with her Girls category.

During the 2011 season, Contostavlos was having issues with then-boyfriend Fazer, and they ended up splitting earlier this year.

Now the single singer is adamant she is more focused on taking one of her contestants to glory rather than her love life.

She tells The Sun, "No man to stress about. I can just chill out and get on with my job."

The star admits in her new autobiography Honest: My Story So Far she regularly checked Fazer's phone for suspicious texts - and she blames her lack of trust on her former bandmates.

She adds, "Imagine being told by Dappy and Fazer from the age of 11, 'Don't trust any man, they're all dogs.'"
