Tulisa 'Hit Celebrity Blogger In The Eye'
Singer Tulisa Contostavlos hit a celebrity blogger in the eye during a melee at a music festival, a court has heard.
The former X-Factor judge denies assaulting Savvas Morgan, who says he was left with a swollen eye following the incident at V Festival in Chelmsford last August.
Contostavlos had accused Mr Morgan of stalking her and swore at him, the prosecution claims.
"She saw the opportunity to hit him, and hit him in the eye," prosecutor Matthew McNiff told Chelmsford Magistrates' Court.
The alleged victim said Contostavlos, 25, raised her fists and swung her arms.
"Everyone was jumping around trying to get at me, there was a lot going on," said Mr Morgan, who added that he had never been accused of stalking before.
Contostavlos appeared in court with her assistant Gareth Varey, 28, who denies a charge of threatening behaviour.
Security officer Aaron Smythe attended the incident at 12.30am on August 18 and identified Contostavlos as the aggressor.
"There was quite a large-scale incident, and we went over to assist," he said.
"The lady clearly was the aggressor, she ran to him and caught him on the head with the side of her hand.
"[Mr Morgan] appeared shocked and quite upset. He was holding his face for a couple of seconds just after the incident occurred."
Contostavlos - who was a part of the band N-Dubz - claims she had been careful to keep her arms behind her back and says someone else assaulted Mr Morgan.
She is expected to give evidence on Tuesday.
Contostavlos and Varey, both of Royal Drive, Friern Barnet, north London, are both on unconditional bail.
