Turner wants anonymity after Chung break-up

Arctic Monkeys frontman Alex Turner has vowed to keep out of the gossip columns following his high-profile split from MTV presenter Alexa Chung.

The rocker and former model Chung ended their four-year relationship in July, insisting the split was "completely amicable".

The rock 'n' roll couple had become regulars in the tabloid press during their romance - but Turner is now determined to keep a low public profile following the break-up.

He tells NME magazine, "I just think I'll take a step back from all that stuff. It's nothing, it's out of my control, and it's not me.

"I never went in search of that and I still don't."
