Twilight stars upset by fan's death at Comic-Con
Ashley Greene, new dad Jackson Rathbone and Nikki Reed have offered their condolences after a Twilight fan was killed outside the Comic-Con celebration in California on Tuesday.
The 53 year old, identified as Gisela G, died after she was hit by a car while crossing a road to take her place in a line for Thursday's Twilight panel discussion in San Diego.
Bosses from Lionsgate and Summit Entertainment expressed their sadness over the tragedy, and now stars of the vampire franchise have offered their sympathies.
In a post on her Twitter.com page, Reed writes, "This is horrible. So sad. I'm speechless", while Rathbone, who became a first-time father last week, adds, "RIPTwihardG All our love and respect, and all our prayers."
Greene declared, "I'm so sorry to hear the... news about Gisella (sic) G. My thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends."
In a statement, Comic-Con spokesman David Glanzer writes, "It is with tremendous sadness that we offer our heartfelt condolences. Our sincere thoughts and prayers go out to all those involved in this tragic incident."
