Two Charged Over Hit-And-Run Death Of Boy

Two people have been charged over the hit-and-run death of a 12-year-old boy.
Bilal Raffey Khizar was killed after being hit on a crossing by a car driving away from police in Bradford on Saturday.
The youngster was on his way home after visiting friends when he was hit by the vehicle on Rooley Lane, at around 7pm
West Yorkshire Police said a man and a woman, both aged 21, will appear at Bradford Magistrates' Court later.
The man has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving, perverting the course of justice and other motoring offences.
The woman has been charged with perverting the course of justice.
A police car had stopped the red Seat Ibiza in a lay-by for a check but, when officers got out of their car, the vehicle sped off and hit the boy on a crossing close to an Asda store.
The car failed to stop and continued onto the Chain Bar roundabout on the M606, where it collided with two other vehicles.

What a total waste of a young boy's life. I hope those two understand the devastion they have caused to Bilal 's family. RIP x
