The X Factor star Jaymi Hensley has thanked fans for their support after he 'came out' as gay over the weekend.
The 22 year old, who is part of boyband Union J, revealed he was urged to tells fans about his sexuality by mentor Louis Walsh.
Jaymi opened up about his relationship with his boyfriend of three years, 21-year-old hairdresser Olly Marmon, and admits he has been overwhelmed by the messages of support he has received on Twitter.
He tells The Sun, "It's been amazing, really amazing. I have not seen one negative comment. I want to say a massive thank you for people's support. It has been incredible.
"I have already had messages from young gay guys saying 'thank you so much, I can look up to you', and that's what I did it for."
His bandmates Josh, George and Jamie also spoke of their pride in Jaymi being brave enough to be honest with the public.
Taking to their official Twitter site, the boys wrote, "Wanted to say how proud we are of our brother Jaymi for coming out and being proud of his sexuality! We are SO proud."

It's like living in the dark ages. Just read A Jowett's comment and mine was going to be more or less exactly the same - what's the biggy? Others being "SO proud" is borderline patronising, I'd have thought - and if he wasn't "out" before where was he keeping the hairdresser bloke? Oh, yes - in his closet! Sorry - although I am pleased when something goes right for someone, this seems like a bit of a publicity stunt to me. People are less bothered now...
