Usher: Man Gets Four Years For Stepson's Death
A man who killed singer Usher's 11-year-old stepson while recklessly riding a jet ski has been jailed for four years.
Jeffrey Hubbard was convicted last month of killing Kile Glover who was hit while he was on an inner tube being towed by boat.
He died of head injuries around two weeks after the crash on Lake Lanier, northeast of Atlanta, in July 2012.
His friend was also left with serious injuries.
Hubbard was also found guilty of causing serious injury, reckless operation of a vessel, unlawful operation of a personal watercraft and a boat traffic violation.
Following his release from prison, Hubbard will spend 15 years on probation for operating the watercraft in what Superior Court Judge Bonnie Oliver described as a "foolish" manner.
"I'm disappointed that you have not accepted more responsibility for what occurred," said Judge Oliver when handing down the sentence.
Kile was the son of Usher's ex-wife Tameka Foster.
The couple married in 2007, but divorced acrimoniously two years later. They have two children together.
