Walking Dead pilot to be made into black and white

Fans of the The Walking Dead are to receive a special treat - the show's pilot is to be re-shown in black and white.

The unusual alternate version of the first show is to pay homage to the Robert Kirkman comic book series that it is based on - which is rendered in black and white.

The new version of the pilot, which first first appeared in 2010, will premiere in the U.S. next month ahead of the show's third season.

Producer Frank Darabont has history of re-tuning his work into sepia - he included a black and white version of his horror film The Mist in the movie's Blu-Ray edition.

The Walking Dead stars Andrew Lincoln as a U.S. sheriff deputy trying to survive in a world populated by zombies.

what do you think?

Whats the point, why not just adjust your tv and make it black and white yourself
