Warsi Slams 'White Fair Game' Muslim Views
Britain's most senior Muslim politician has claimed white women are sexual abuse targets for "a small minority" of Pakistani men.
Cabinet minister Baroness Warsi's comments come after nine Muslim men in Rochdale were jailed for plying white girls as young as 13 with drink and drugs so they could "pass them around" and use them for sex.
Lady Warsi, the Conservative Party co-chairman, told the London Evening Standard: "There is a small minority of Pakistani men who believe that white girls are fair game.
"And we have to be prepared to say that. You can only start solving a problem if you acknowledge it first.
"This small minority who see women as second-class citizens, and white women probably as third-class citizens, are to be spoken out against."
Lady Warsi said she had decided to speak out after her father - who moved to the UK from the Punjab - told her she should be "out there condemning it as loudly as you could".
She urged Muslim leaders to address the issue.
"In mosque after mosque, this should be raised as an issue so that anybody remotely involved should start to feel that the community is turning on them," she said.
"Communities have a responsibility to stand up and say, 'This is wrong, this will not be tolerated'."
Sky News chief political correspondent Jon Craig said Lady Warsi has "spoken out in very bold terms".
"This is aimed at the Muslim community. We have a senior Muslim politician saying 'put your house in order, these sort of attitudes will not be tolerated', but she is also saying it concerns a small minority."
On Wednesday, Rochdale's Labour MP Simon Danczuk said the vulnerable victims of the Rochdale grooming scandal "went to hell and back" to relive their ordeal through giving evidence to convict the men.
In response, Prime Minister David Cameron acknowledged the case was "truly dreadful" and said it would be investigated further, with the view of a possible inquiry being set up.
Last week, Labour MP Keith Vaz, chairman of the Commons home affairs committee, said the crimes were "appalling" but that the case was "not a race issue".

The problem is in there native country they can marry some girls at the age of 13 altough this is against the law some poor familes in villages sell there girls. This is why there culture dosen't belong in our culture, they either abide by British laws or they should be sent home, it's as simple as that..

Thomas Cat
Totally agree 007.Unfortunately, they inter marry with close relatives as well, resulting in children who are born deformed. If they wish to marry their very young girls off, they should do so in their own country

Davefly Theuniuonflagbrown
Surley that is raceist? You cant say things like that.. Orange will remove the comment. Oh sorry its the story not a comment.

You do right to speak out againsy what you feel is morally wrong, I cannot agree more.

dave.m3lfv
I can only say you are truly a brave lady, to speak out in this way is not easy for you I do understand that. K.Vaz is trying to hide his head in the sand, he proberbly doesn't want any voters to think he is joining the other side!

How refreshing to hear a politician willing to publicly state the obvious - unfortunately her words will in the main fall on many deaf ears because articulate, educated and socially aware women are the very antithesis of many of the females belonging to the direct and extended families of the depraved guilty parties in these sordid crimes. The tradition (?) of disconnected, uninvolved and undervalued women in the lower levels of Pakistani society so prevalent in many parts of the UK [and yes - I know we have our fair share of home grown cases] will ensure that no overt criticism or condemnation of male family members occurs. May be this will change with the up and coming younger generations but we have been saying this for two generations already but regrettably I don't see any evidence of change.

Lady Warsi has spoken out and we can now all say what we think about a minority of Pakistanis men that look upon woman as "fair game". Woman need protection by our government and men that act in this nature should be deported back to Pakistan no matter what the consequence or pleas by human rights pc people. Woman have rights too and they should come before lawbreakers. They must abide by British Law, the law of the land, or be sent home

David Wragg
I agree, but don't forget to send their families home with them so that their 'right to family life' is respected.

Well said Sayeeda, you're absolutely right to speak out about this sleazy behaviour by some male members of the Muslim community! Keith Vaz is wrong when he says this is not a race issue. These girls were being targeted because they were deemed to be 'easy' by some Pakistani men. Why were these particular girls targeted by the men involved? It wasn't because they were all members of the same Pakistani community. It was because they weren't members of the Pakistani community. So, whether the girls were selected because they weren't Pakistani, or because they were white (and white girls are supposedly 'easy') is irrelevant. In fact, both methods of selection are racist, so this is definately a race issue!

Well done Lady Warsi and in particular her dad. If these men did this to a young Asian girl they would become pariahs and harried out of the community. That's why white girls are abused. It certainly is a race issue and the likes of Vaz put race relations back years.

Walrusi is getting in the public eye alot lately. She's always on telly, and now she's an authority on the matter, being of the same ethnic group as those perverted monsters. As long as her dad prompts her to speak about it first. I fear that this is not a minority problem as the majority are corrupt, perverse copycats who all jump on the bandwagon. What I'd like to know is who was meant to be caring for those girls and how come some parents not know anything about their kids. What would be so bad in their lives to make them go near such ugly, old sleazebags in the first place?

David Wragg
Sadly, I suspect drink and drugs were the bait.

Adrian Wagstaff
I don't imagine myself actually liking those girls in the first place or even anyone else. I don't really understand why those men liked anyone. I can't remember the last time I liked anyone whatsoever and I'm almost fifty. I think you'd have to like them a lot to want to do anything like that. When you've spent your life until you're almost fifty without bothering to like anyone, then you are facing ten more years until you're sixty, liking people seems incredibly irrelevant. It's amazing, to me, that they would want to like those girls so much. I don't.

muslims face a far greater issue than this .do they have God`s favour ?how can they when what they believe is not true . HELLFIRE they say GOD burns people .He put new skin on them and burns them over and over FOREVER ! would a God of love do such a thing ? The bible gives the answer : jeremiah 7 verse 31 "and they have built the high places of Topheth (alters of sacrifice)in order to BURN their sons & their daughters in the FIRE ,a thing I had NOT commanded and that HAD NOT COME UP INTO MY HEART ,so he has NEVER even considered such a thing . Satan has the world in his power 1st john 5:19 he also has religions in his power except the true religion . time to read the original and only book of truth The Bible .

TheKarmacanic
Which Bible would that be?

What type of god would create such horrors for their congregation ? Only a cruel and spiteful god. . . No hellfire from the Great Mother Goddess. .

TheKarmacanic
Precisely Stevie... Blessed Be!

Fine, let's not have Muslim men allowed in to this country. Some of Warsi's comments on politics also make her unsuitable to be a Tory minister.

mikemcdonough
What would Vaz have said if it had been white men abusing moslem girls? He would have been screaming racism from the rooftops..For once Baroness Warsi makes sense albeit after her father told her to.

Simon .
well done to Lady Warsi for saying publicly what the rest of the country has known for years. Maybe it's "out" now we can finally start addressing these issues without the left wing knee jerk cry of "racist"

Gillian Stafford
It's to do with a small minority of Pakistani males - I don't think the references to Asians or Muslims is fair. Not all Asians are Pakistanis and there are one or two Muslims that believe it or not are not Pakistani. Let's talk openly about this without the usual PC suspects and their fear of causing offence to anyone and anything [because if this isn't a race issue I honestly don't know what is]. As has been said previously it appears to be a minority of Pakistani males problem so deal with it as such - hopefully Baroness Warsi my have made a start.

stevie may
Im certain there are just as many white predatory males in soceity as there are ethnic. Evil comes in all forms
