Huge Wave Crashes Into Wall: Over 30 Hurt
Dozens of people have been hurt after a huge wave up to 20 metres high crashed into a riverfront in China.
It destroyed part of a protection wall and net along the Qiantang River near the city of Hainin in eastern Zhejiang Province.
More than 30 people were injured by the tidal bore that became more powerful due to typhoon Trami.
The wave, which sent people running from the riverfront, set a record for the highest in a decade.
The injured were being treated in hospital and no deaths were reported.
A tidal bore occurs when the edge of the incoming tide forms a wave that travels up the river against the direction of the current.
