will.i.am: 'I rely on Auto-tune'
Black Eyed Peas star will.i.am is working on his singing abilities as he is currently forced to depend on computer technology in the studio to improve his voice.
The I Gotta Feeling hitmaker, who is a judge on The Voice, claims he uses pitch-correcting software Auto-tune to save time while recording, but sheepishly concedes he is seeking help to improve his singing.
He tells the Alan Carr: Chatty Man talk show, "I use Auto-tune because I write and produce. A lot of the time I am in the studio by myself and no one works as much as I do. So the computer allows me to make music singing myself and not wait around for singers to come and sing it.
"It's a rare combination to have someone who can write songs and sing well. The computer allows me to execute my ideas at the speed I think them. So that's why I learnt to (use) Auto-tune. It's just an effect. But I am working on, you know, my singing abilities."

Shock, Horror, you mean....nah it's a lie...Duh!!! tell us something we dont know!
actually excellent singer songwriters have always been around. Will I Am An Idiot is just making excuses for a lack of vocal talent. Stick to writing & producing and leave the singing to those who can!
wow flash backs to the days of lip sinc on top of the pops but fair play hes one of the few entertainers that would admit to such a thing and theres a shed load out there that sure as hell cant sing like gaga for one.
