Woman Lay Dead In Car As Tickets Piled Up
Scores of people walked past a snow-covered car with numerous parking tickets on the windscreen before police found the body of a young mother inside.
Nadia Malik had been missing for 11 days when she was discovered inside the sedan near Philadelphia's main train station on Thursday.
She was found lying down in the front seat under a pile of clothes and a gym bag.
A post-mortem discovered no visible sign of injury on the woman's body. Authorities are awaiting the results of toxicology tests.
The car was first ticketed on February 10 and repeatedly after it was towed on Valentine's Day because it was blocking snow removal.
But authorities said Ms Malik's body would have been hard to see in the fully-reclined passenger seat because of the heavily tinted windows and snow-covered windshield.
Police said the 22-year-old had a volatile relationship with her boyfriend, who was arrested at his parents' home near Cleveland. He will be brought back to Pennsylvania on a parole violation.
Police said the couple had two young children, and a baby who died in 2012.
Detectives are re-examining the baby's unexplained death.
