Worcester Murder: Man Is Arrested In Dorset

A 51-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murdering a woman found dead at her home.

The body of Jacqueline Harrison, 47, was found at a flat in Gresham Road, Worcester, on Thursday. A post-mortem examination showed she had sustained significant assault injuries, West Mercia Police said.

A spokesman for the force said the man was arrested in Dorchester, Dorset.

Police said they are still keen to speak to anyone who saw or spoke to Ms Harrison in the last week of March or the first week of April.

Detective Inspector Gerry Smith said: "We are in the early stages of this inquiry and want to speak to Jacqueline's friends or associates who may know about her last movements.

"Anyone who saw or spoke to her in the last week of March or first week of April should ring the Operation Mallard incident room at Worcester police station by dialling 101."
