Yoko Ono's peace project takes over Times Square
Yoko Ono has dedicated an art project in New York City's famous Times Square to her late husband John Lennon as part of International Peace Day on Friday.
The singer has taken over the Manhattan landmark to beam the words "Imagine Peace" onto three jumbo screens in reference to Lennon's song Imagine.
The words have been translated into 24 different languages as part of the project presented by the Art Production Fund.
In a post on her Twitter.com page, Ono writes, "Friday 21 September is International Peace Day. To celebrate, in conjunction with Art Production Fund, I have made three different Imagine Peace films which will be shown in Times Square on the MTV, Viacom and American Eagle Video Billboards...
"The video for that one has been tailor-made for each screen and looks spectacular! If you are in New York, please come to Times Square, check them out."
