Bikers can be heroes and villains

A Canadian company is offering motorbikers the chance to wear leathers in the style of movie heroes and villains.

Toronto-based UD Replicas makes ultra-detailed versions of sci-fi and superhero outfits exactly as seen on screen.

It means bikers can ride their machines dressed as Batman, Iron Man, a Star Wars stormtrooper, Darth Maul, Tron or Wolverine.

Company president David Pea, a self-confessed comic book fan, claims they offer even more protection than normal leathers.

"We line all of our goods with CE Approved body armour much like many other well respected companies, but where our goods excel is the sheer amount of form molded leather," he said.

"This technique basically adds a whole other dimension of protection to the wearer... aside from the amazingly cool details, our goods are built like tanks."

The £750 suits are mostly handmade, with prototypes taking months to perfect before production can begin.
