Cop dipped his head in bucket of urine
A US policeman was suspended from duty - for ducking his head in a five gallon bucket of urine to win a £280 bet.
Phil Croucher, of Mentor, Ohio, was caught on video performing the stunt, in front of cheering friends, to win $450 while off duty.
His boss, Police Chief Daniel Llewellyn, confirmed that Croucher had been placed on leave pending a medical evaluation.
But he said that Croucher, who he described as an "exceptional officer", had since been cleared and returned to duty.
Llewellyn said he was "disappointed" by Croucher's poor judgment and said he expects better from his officers, even when off-duty.

It makes me wonder if any of them have ever been attacked by such buckets during the course of their work. They do face missiles thrown at them during riots. People tend to throw all sorts of things at them. I don't know if it would be classified as anywhere near the worse kind of occurrence they might have to endure during their work. I wouldn't want to do that. Perhaps, all his friends should pay twice as much as $450 because they persuaded him to do that in the first place? What about the news story concerning professional swimming pools, the other week at the Olympics? What is the difference?

WHY - He was off duty it's his time to do what he wants to in. He committed no crime. I'd say SUE their sorry Arses!

$450 dollars AND paid leave. not bad for 1 seconds work plus clean up time. The guys boss obviously think he owns him. Well done.

I don't see the problem here... Pee stinks but is oddly enough not that hazardous. Don't forget that US police are just like everybody else. They don't elevate themselves to God-like status like the British police.

Its ridiculous he got suspended who cares what he does in his own time. At least he isn't getting bored in his work and tasering old blind people.
