Cops in trouble over gangsta rapper pose

Officers from an elite police academy have been disciplined after a picture of them posing like gangsta rappers was posted on Facebook.

The nine officers - from a training school in Sremska Kamenica, Croatia - were caught pulling classic urban gangster poses with their service handguns for a snap to celebrate the end of their course.

The picture - captioned 'Local Gang' on Facebook - shows the SWAT cops in their full commando uniforms with bullet proof vests, 9mm handguns, boots and caps worn sideways and back to front, rapper-style.

But senior officers were furious when the snap was posted on Facebook and have ordered a full inquiry into the police farce.

"The officers involved are under investigation. This sort of thing brings the whole police service into disrepute," said Vladimir Bozovic, the country's senior police internal affairs officer.

"It may have been a joke but they should not celebrate looking like criminals," he added.
