Cops nearly hit by car hidden by foam
Two police officers had a shock in Australia - when they were nearly hit by a car emerging from foam whipped up by a tropical storm.
A passer-by captured the bizarre incident on his smartphone and uploaded it to YouTube where it has received more than 200,000 views.
It happened on the Sunshine Coast, north of Brisbane in Queensland, which was blanketed with foam from cyclone Oswald, reports the Courier-Mail.
Local man Michael Bell said he had taken his sister down to the foreshore to see the phenomenon when the car suddenly appeared.
"It was unbelievable... That car was probably parked under the foam and they'd had to drive it out," he said.
Mr Bell said two police officers were standing on the road, helping to close it down, as a bus approached.
"We just thought the bus was pushing a wave of foam - we didn't even know the car was there," he said.
"It was a shock to everyone. Luckily the police officers managed to get out of the way.
"I showed the footage to the two officers and the one who pushed the other out of the way thought he was pretty famous."
