Crash deposit causes panic in bank
Terrified customers fled in terror when a hapless driver smashed into a bank in China.
The 46-year-old driver told police she'd mixed up the brake and the accelerator as she was parking outside the branch in Wuhan, Hubei province.
It sent her Skoda saloon car sailing straight through a window.
"Everyone thought the bank was being held up. We thought we were all going to die," said one customer.
Police and firefighters managed to roll the car back onto the road while its shocked driver was booked for dangerous driving.
"One customer was injured and she had to compensate the bank for the damage she caused," said a police spokesman.
