Dancing policeman entertains crowds
A policeman entered into the Olympic spirit by entertaining crowds along the torch relay route with some impressive dance moves.
It happened as the Olympic Torch made its way through Sevenoaks, Kent, on day 63 of the nationwide relay.
Swept along by the carnival atmosphere, the unidentified policeman decided to provide the crowd with some entertainment as they waited for the torch.
His routine began with some robotic dance moves before he began to hop around on one leg.
Encouraged by the reaction from the crowd, the officer attempted some break-dancing before finishing with an energetic hip thrust.
The moment was captured by photographers and on a mobile phone video camera before later being uploaded onto YouTube.
what do you think?

John Melling
A disgrace..we dont pay police to mess about, we pay them to prevent crime Please sack him

andy may
john melling, the police are not employed simply to prevent crime. this guy was doing his job and performing a good bit of pr for the police. by the way, how much do you think YOU actually pay the police to prevent crime?

Louise Smith
Actually Andy, We pay quite a lot within our council tax for policing. You council tax documents will tell you just how much.

andy may
louise, thankyou for attempting to answer a question for me albeit wrongly so. firstly i was trying to ascertain if mr melling contributed anything positive to society. the second point is that the total police budget is not raised purely through council tax. your council tax statement tells you how much is allegedly syphoned off to fund policing....a big difference!!!

Raymond Castle
Copper or not he's a darn sight better at that dancing lark than I am!

David Nesbitt
Good on him

Andy Cane
The Olympics are here just enjoy them...... I would of laughed out loud good on him no harm done

Michael Cooke
I despise what the police stand for, and the typicall behavior they infect our streets with, mainly because they have lost all connection with the public they serve to protect and treat us all like criminals.....but this guy shows that even with the political uniform and power badge he still has a soul!!

Anthony Smith
Idiot! Probably some stunt to make money from youtube.

Julie Crumpton
Oh behave, miserable so and so!

Andy Cam
A bit more behaviour like that and a little bit less aggression and we might have a reduction in the number of people dying at the hands of the police. Instead of whacking Ian Tomlinson perhaps Harwood should have done a little dance with him.

Valerie Wood
Good on him. The police have a dreadful job they can't do right for doing wrong in many instances but this bloke has a sense of humour and shows that the police ARE human.

Mac McMacintosh
Hmmm!

Julie Crumpton
Hmmm? What? Just say it, whatever it is! Geez!

Thomas Cat
Copper load of that!

It's not dancing. He's just not used to the tarmac being so hot, after the recent lousy weather.
