Deer filmed knocking over cyclist

A mountain biker's helmet camera captured the moment a clumsy deer sent him crashing to the ground.

The clip of Jeff Plassman's mishap in Virginia's Pocahontas State Park has notched up more than two million hits in just a few days on YouTube.

It shows the deer running out of the woodland to cross the road, but leaping into the cyclist instead.

The deer apparently ran off unhurt into the forest and Mr Plassman managed to get back on his bike to finish the Monster Cross and Mountain Bike race.
