Designer brings wacky visions to life
A designer's bizarre blog - offering to bring people's weirdest visions to life using Microsoft Paint - has gone viral.
James Murray, 26, says he has more than 6,000 submitted weird painting requests to his Jim'll Paint It blog sat waiting in his inbox.
It all started two weeks ago when Mr Murray, who is based in Bristol, posted a status on his personal Facebook page asking for suggestions for things to draw on Paint.
"Within a couple of days I'd completed half a dozen paintings of increasingly bizarre things and the positive reactions of my friends encouraged me to share them on the image blog Tumblr and later a dedicated Facebook page."
His blog says: "I am here to make your wildest dreams a reality using nothing but Microsoft Paint (no tablets, no touch ups). Ask me to paint anything you wish and I will try no matter how specific or surreal your demands."
Highlights so far include his portrayal of Nigella Lawson eating a plate of Pentium 4 Processors with metal teeth, while drinking battery acid as robots fight on the streets of Bristol in the background.
Another shows Anthony Worrall Thompson shoplifting in Pets at Home, trying to conceal a fishtank under his jumper, a pair of love birds in his Nike bum-bag and gerbils spilling out of his pockets.
While an equally alarming painting features Brian Blessed riding a Henry hoover alongside DJ Goldie on a Dyson as they race on the Mario Kart level rainbow road while both drunk on white ace cider.
Mr Murray has so far completed 26 paintings and says the weirdest was Jeremy Kyle watching The Jeremy Kyle Show on a TV powered by mistrust and infidelity during a thumb war between a pregnant spider and Kim Jong Un.
