Double lottery winner 'not that bothered'
A property developer who won the lottery twice says he wasn't "that bothered" by his £1.2m wins and that sky-diving was more exciting.
George Traykov, 45, from Ilford, Essex, was so laid back about his second big money win that he didn't even claim it until two months later.
The "happily divorced" father-of-one, beat odds of one-in-438 million when he won £160,873 in the EuroMillions prize earlier this year.
His win came after he scooped £1 million in the Millionaire Raffle in September 2011.
He joked that his windfall could have been even bigger, after coming up one number short of claiming an astonishing £12 million in the "big jackpot".
But Mr Traykov, who was once a member of the Bulgarian skydiving team, insisted the thrill of winning the lottery was nothing compared to jumping out of a plane.
"I wasn't really that bothered," the adrenalin addict said of his lottery win. "Nothing compares with skydiving.
"The first win enabled me to make a few changes in my life, most importantly sending my daughter Elaine to private school and maintaining her skydiving training sessions."
He said he had no plans to move away from Ilford where he has lived for nearly 20 years.
"I didn't know anyone at that time and I didn't have much money and the only place I could afford a home was Ilford," he said. "The place, the area, it is very safe, I have lovely neighbours."

Why play the lottery then? He isn't that bothered likely because he has a bit of cash already. A property developer isn't exactly minimum wage, is it? Greedy little... I can sort of understand where he's coming from though with the second win. If you've already won £1 million, then £160,000 must feel like pocket money. Even so, it's still a big win. I'd certainly be happy to to win that.

Do some good with it, then! Buy a pet/ct scanner for a local hospital, anything! But please don't say " your not bothered!" If that's the case why do it in first place!!!

I suggest he goes down to a Childrens Cancer ward or Childs Hospice and she what " I wasn't really bothered" money could do for these childrean and there families, or better still, p*** off back to Bulgaria or go one better and try the ultimate adrenalin rush sky diving without his parachute!!

Not envious much then. He paid his cash to buy the ticket so can do whatever he likes with it. I agree he can do a lot to help others but it is up to him. I would certainly not say he should "go home" or kill himself. Really hate this, "Someone else has it so I should too" attitude in this country.

Personally I never do the Lottery and have no interest in making a lot of money as it is the root of all evil. Furthermore, one has no say in which 'good cause' one's money is donated to. Traykov won the money. I hope it makes him happy.

You are incorrect money is not the root of all evil people them self are the root of all evil in the same way money does not change a person a person changes them self. In my long time playing the lotto i have seen 2 friends win big enough to quit there job and the money did not change them infact it enabled them to pay of there house and then help out family members and to this day they have not changed one bit and it did not change them into money monsters

I win £1 every lorry drawing. I keep the money I would have lost on a ticket and thus am now 10 years times 2 drawings a week better off. That's £1,000 in my pocket that I would have thrown away on Loser tickets.

What a smug creature!! If the money doesn't bother him or mean anything to him then why doesn't he do some good with the money!? He could split it up the money and give numerous donations to charities that ensure for example that children born into this world with 'nothing' are given a chance to live and thrive. Or kiddies with terminal illnesses are given the opportunity to have that 'dream' fulfilled, while they can and bring a little happiness to their traumatic lives.
