Food on dog blog goes viral

Food on dog /Ext

A website in which a dog owner balances items of food on his dog's head has become an internet sensation.

The blog, called Food On My Dog, features Tiger, a Staffordshire Bull Terrier and American Bulldog mix, balancing a range of snacks on her head.

Owner Andrew Small from Crystal River, Florida, started the website after his dog seemed to enjoy impressing humans with her abilities.

It features a gallery of balanced food including a banana, doughnut, candy floss and rasher of bacon.

The website has racked up almost half a million hits and Tiger even has her own Facebook page.

Mr Small said: "My dad would come round and balance snacks or biscuits on Tiger's head.

"She likes it because she knows she is getting a reward. I wouldn't do it without giving her a reward.

"She doesn't get to eat food that's not good for dogs either. What she doesn't eat, I eat. No food goes to waste.

"In some pictures, such as ones like doughnuts and cakes, she will receive a treat instead."

I suppose you think that animals performing in a circus is just a piece of fun as well? Food to a dog is far more than just nourishment - but then if you haven't studied animal psychology (like I have) you wouldn't appreciate that. believe me Steve - this owner is being cruel to the dog and the dog will not find it fun.

It is clear from the pictures that the dog is kept as a toy, and not as a loved pet. This is not funny or clever, it is cruel. And if you want to see proof of the owners neglect, just look at the size of the dogs nails - they are curving around they are so long - I'll bet the poor dog never gets walked - just used to pose for pathetic pictures. The owner should be investigated and the dog rehomed

Looking at the shape those objects are making....I feel it would be more apt on the owners head, because that is what he is...........
