Foxes ruin dancers' designer shoes
Foxes are being blamed for ruining thousands of pounds worth of cabaret dancers' designer shoes.
Bosses claim the animals ran wild backstage at night in the new temporary Crazy Horse venue on London's South Bank.
Producer Nick Zuppar said the foxes seemed to have specifically targeted expensive Louboutin shoes, gnawing the heels and biting off straps.
The costume team was trying to repair some of the £1,000-a-pair shoes but several were completely destroyed.
Mr Zuppar said: "We have four foxes on site and can do nothing to stop them running wild. We arrived in the morning to find shoes all over the stage.
"At first I thought they were just the cheap ballet shoes, then I realised that the foxes picked the most expensive pink Louboutins. They must be very discerning.
"Our costume designer had a breakdown. We've had to hire a guard to sit here with a dog through the night to scare them off."
One of the foxes has been caught and will be kept in a cage until the end of the production.
Crazy Horse's Forever Crazy erotic cabaret show, produced by Harvey Goldsmith, runs in the purpose-built Spiegeltent until December 16.

:) more like
Or :-O !!
Those Grenadier Guard dancer gals look so good, personally I'd mount them.............on horses of course.
You bad, bad boy LOLOLOL
Never mind the girls, or the stupid shoes. I think it is disgusting what they are doing to the captured fox. Keeping it in a cage until the end of the production, which means the poor fox will be encarcerated for nearly 3 months, unless that is it dies of sheer fright ebfore then. This is down and out cruelty, this is a wild animal !!!. Bringing a guard and a dog in to frighten the foxes, how is this going to work, what are they doing to do let the dog loose to see how many foxes it can kill? Before anyone has a pop saying foxes are vermin, could not give two hoots they are still a living creature, and have just as much right to live.
Put the shoes in cages instead so the foxes can't get them!!!!!
Darned good idea. Much cheaper and more reliable than a guard.
simple bring back hunting. NOW !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The foxes in question are clearly expressing - in a wonderfully direct and visceral way which would make Brian Sewell quiver with emotion - a deep and visceral artistic critique of the show in question. £1000-a-pair ballet-shoes? Phbbt!!!
Feminist foxes or should I say vixens :D
"We have four foxes on site and can do nothing to stop them running wild." "We've had to hire a guard to sit here with a dog through the night to scare them off." That sounds like they have some ideas how to stop them - especially as one has been caught. Silly non-story.
........USE GREEN WELLIES.....JOB SORTED !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
