Google launches camera glasses

Google has unveiled its latest invention - a pair of glasses that can video everything they see.

The gadget was launched with a stunt featuring live feeds from cameras on glasses worn by sky-divers.

As the daredevils jumped from a blimp above San Francisco, people at the launch watched video footage from their perspective.

They also watched a live stream from mountain bikers jumping over ramps then riding into the conference room.

The device, known as Project Glass, is designed to allow others to see the world through your eyes.

As well as a camera, it houses a speaker, microphones, a processor and sensors to give users information on what they are seeing.

Google co-founder Sergey Brin said: "This is new technology and we really want you to shape it.

"We want to get it out into the hands of passionate people as soon as possible."
