Guest called room service for a ferret

A request for a ferret to be sent up to a hotel room has made it onto a list of the most bizarre room service calls.

The animal was requested by a guest who was visiting a small animals show and didn't want to go alone.

Another guest asked for sea salt scrub to remove her fake tan after it had gone wrong, while one requested a room with a sea view - in land-locked Birmingham.

Other outlandish requests included an extra bed for a doll and one for a ground-floor room large enough for a motorbike.

One visitor wanted an extra place at the breakfast table for a religious statue while another asked for a ghost to be sent to his room.

The list of kooky calls was made to staff working at Best Western hotels across Britain.

Requests for toothpaste, razors and towels are the most common made to reception staff, with a quarter of guests ordering room service, said the survey.
