Jimmy's giant head up for grabs

A giant replica of under-fire comedian Jimmy Carr's head is up for grabs on eBay.

The jumbo sized head has been put up for sale on the auction site for a minimum of £3,000 to raise money for charity.

The seller, Lancashire salvage firm Ribble Reclamation, hopes to raise funds for Recycling Lives UK through the sale.

"With all this stuff in the press about Jimmy's tax affairs, we thought it would be nice to try and flog it on eBay to make a few bob for charity," owner Paul Johnson told Civil Society Media.

Measuring 13ft high and 11ft wide, the item will go to the highest bidder when the auction finishes in five days' time.

The fibreglass model previously featured in a well-known Walkers crisps campaign before it was snapped up by Ribble Reclamation.

It features a "back door entrance with stairs and a moveable jaw with enough room for about ten people inside".

A Recycling Lives spokesman added: "It'll be interesting to see if anyone stumps up the money for the head - it'd certainly make an interesting feature for anyone's home or garden.

"We're hoping that Jimmy Carr will spot it and decide to cough up, but it may be that there's a big fan out there who'll nab it instead.

"Either way, we're really grateful for the donation and we look forward to seeing who wins the auction."
