Kids' crazy golf gets an upgrade

Pranksters upgraded a kids' game of crazy golf into a mini-version of The Open complete with caddies, camera crews and a huge crowd.

Improv Everywhere teamed up with ESPN to pull the stunt and surprise young golfers playing at a course on New York's Pier 25.

They even had the real Claret Jug from The Open to present to the winner of the suddenly serious mini-golf contest.

The stunt - which was used to surprise five groups of golfers throughout the day - even featured commentators sitting at a desk and describing the action.

what do you think?

It would take everyones' minds off all the bad news everywhere until one of them slipped and hurt themselves, or someone had a heart attack on the golf course. Or a traffic accident happened nearby. Or a plane fell out of the sky or there was a thunderstorm or tornado. Didn't we used to call this crazy golf? Crazy golf is, without doubt, the best sport I ever found out about.

It's what we used to call mini golf during the 1970s and 1980s?
