Love-struck teen - brave or bonkers?

A teenager's brave but cringe inducing musical declaration of love to the girl of his dreams has gone viral on YouTube.

The singer was filmed by a pal walking through woods while singing Bryan Adams' (Everything I Do) I Do It For You.

At one point he mimes playing the guitar solo while crooning: "Look into your heart, baby."

After the credits roll, the young romeo addresses the young lady, who is called Emily, personally.

"You probably think I'm a creep after I gave you the music video," he admits.

"But all I can really do is tell you, I care about you more than words can express, and that's why I had to make the video.

"You can hate me, do you whatever you want, as long as you know how much I care."

YouTube users have been divided on the teenager's romantic gesture.

One user commented: "Way to be, there should be way more people in the world who lay it all on the line like you just did. I hope she likes it, good luck with Emily dude!"

But another felt: "If I tried to make a video like this for a girl, I'm pretty sure she would stab me in the throat and burn all the copies of it to avoid it going viral."
