Man faked kidnapping to fool girlfriend

A New York man faked his own kidnapping because he was terrified of his girlfriend after going missing for two weeks.
Rahmell Pettway, 36, told police he staged the crime to explain his absence to his girlfriend after spending two weeks away from his Brooklyn home.
But his plan unraveled when the officers who found him tied up in the street noticed a roll of duct tape still dangling from his wrists.
He eventually came clean, and was arrested for filing a false report, reports the New York Post.
"He's a total moron," one police officer told the newspaper. "It was a pathetic attempt to pull the wool over her eyes."
what do you think?
