Man interviews his 12-year-old self
A US film maker has scored a viral hit with a video of him having a conversation with his 12-year-old self.
Jeremiah McDonald, 32, cleverly editing new footage with a video of himself from 20 years ago.
The video has gone viral on YouTube, notching up more than five million page views in just four days.
It begins with Mr McDonald's 12-year-old self saying: "I think I'd like to talk to myself in the future, yes, that's something that I'll do."
The pair go on to banter about dead pets, Dr Who and Star Wars - the clip apparently showing how time has taken its toll on the adult Jeremiah.
McDonald, who lives in Portland, Maine, has faced some scepticism for the clip, with some viewers asking which 'child actor' played his younger self.
But he is resolute that it is indeed himself performing for a home video made for his future self.
And he added: "I'm not exactly sure what I would say to myself at age 50, though. I'm pretty sure that me in 24 years would hate the current me.
"Maybe that's how we all should strive to live our lives. Strive to make sure future you won't hate current you and vice versa.
"It may help to simply imagine the conversation the two of you would have, if it ever came to that."
