Meteor strike at cricket match
A cricket fan has claimed to have been hit by a meteor strike during a County Championship match in Uxbridge.
Jan Marszel, 51, and Richard Haynes, 52, were watching Sussex play Middlesex when a three-inch rock fell from the sky, reports the Metro.
The black space rock, believed to be 4.5 billion years old, split in two as it crashed to the ground, before jumping back up and hitting Mr Marszel in his chest.
He said: "It landed five yards inside the boundary and split in two. One piece bounced up and hit me in the chest and the other ended up against the boundary board.
"It came across at quite a speed - if it had hit me full on it could have been very interesting."
