More than one for the road

Beer flowed for several hundred meters down a German motorway after a juggernaut crashed spilling 25 tonnes of beer crates.
The crash, in Wernigerode, Sachsen Anhalt, was made worse when a second lorry travelling a short distance behind the first, skidded on the flooded highway sending crates and beer bottles flying in all directions.
The road was closed for several hours while firemen staged the clear up operation wearing breathing apparatus to protect them from the beer fumes.
A police spokesman said that the 27-year-old German driver had been treated shock but was otherwise unhurt after the incident.
The second driver had also escaped without injury although both lorries were written off.
