Mum booked strippers for son's party

A New York mother has been arrested - after booking two strippers for her son's 16th birthday party.

The strippers performed lap dances on the boy and his teenage friends, who police allege were as young as 13.

One photo posted online from the party showed a "scantily clad, tattooed woman clinging upside down to a seated teen", the New York Daily News reports.

Judy Viger, 33, was charged with five counts of endangering the welfare of a minor following the party at a 10 pin bowling alley in South Glens Falls.

Saratoga County District Attorney James Murphy said police had interviewed numerous witnesses and parents.

Tops in Bottoms, the company that reportedly supplied the strippers, said it did not know anyone at the party was underage and told reporters the incident had been "blown out of proportion".
