Mum shaves numbers into quads' heads

Quads /Quirky China News

The mother of identical quadruplet boys shaved numbers into her sons' hair to help teachers and classmates tell them apart.

Mum Tan Chaoyun, of Shenzen in China's Guangdong Province, shaved the six-year-olds' heads with the numbers one to four.

She took the drastic step before they started elementary school because she was worried the boys would get mixed up.

"My sons are identical, even to me," said Tan who reckons the only difference between them is the shape of their eyelids.

"I could only tell the difference between them by having different ankle tags on them before they turned 18 months old.

"Even now, their father can't tell which one is which. Sometimes he punishes the second one for something the third one has done."

Even if they did have different clothes, unless each child always wore the same clothing or the same colour day after day, the teacher would still have to know each day who was wearing what! At least numbers are consistent.

Very innovative mother, wish she is made Prime minister of India, atleast she will carve out a better economy like the way she carved her sons head, better than Mr Manmohan Singh who is just holding the scissors and doing nothing.

How was a Chinese mother allowed to have quads? Just curious.

"How was a Chinese mother allowed to have quads? Just curious." Wasn't the Chinese One-Child Policy a)only applicable to girls and b) been abandoned?

They have "One Child Policy" not "No Twins / Triplets / Quadraplets" It means they give birth once not matter its twins / triplets, they cannot concive and give birth the second time.

Good job this didn't happen in the UK or some officious prat head would have banned them from school until their hair grew out.
