New Fifty Shades gets 'darker and darker'

Fifty Shades of Gray /Ext

Fans of erotic bestseller Fifty Shades of Grey might be a little disappointed with what looks to be the latest installment in the series.

It is billed as a "stunning tour de force" which gets "darker and darker" as the book continues - but all is not quite as it seems.

Closer inspection of 'Fifty Shades of Gray' reveals it to be a novelty notepad featuring 200 blank pages on different shades of gray paper.

There are four pages in each of the 50 shades which - as advertised - start light and get darker and darker.

The £12.99 book, sold on Amazon, was dreamt up by author Sheridan Simove who previously had a hit with What Men Think About Apart From Sex, also containing 200 blank pages.

Speaking of his latest project, Mr Simove said: "Just like EL James's popular novel, I hope my new book will deliver deep and satisfying pleasure."

Meanwhile, racy pensioners are reportedly bombarding a charity for audio versions of the real thing.

Calibre Audio Library has received hundreds of requests for copies of the erotic trilogy, with most coming from women over 70.

Bosses at the charity, which provides audiobooks for the visually impaired, have had to order in extra copies to cope with demand.

Who are these people who think the book's especially racy? They need to retrain!

I was berated in another comment, because I slated it, without actualy reading it.....I read the write up, doesn't need half a brain to know the theme of it! Who reads it? All ages of women, apparently....doesn't exactly help the cause for abused women!

£12.99 for a notepad?! I'd rather buy the actual book and write in it. Good idea though, I'll get one as a joke for someone if it goes cheap.

Personally I wouldn't buy this book even if they were selling it at a charity shop for 2p

Bit sad that so many people have to read about sex to be stimulated. Will it encourage more sex crimes and put women and children in danger.

Strong anti views about these books,....havnt read, heard a lot about them from friends who have....so I get the gist, so to speak, there are probably women actualy having to live their lives like these books, they seem humiliating and degrading, however, if the only way you can get a cheap thrill by reading this type of thing....I would question the reasen why!?.....I'm very far from being a prude, by the way!

Julie, the dreadful tragedy of your daughter does not (I think) alter the fact that you are essentially anti-men and puritanical. You've proven that time and time again by removing my posts despite the fact I too am allowed (or should be) my paricular stance on various subjects! Stop being so shallow regards the rights of people (both men & women) to read or see or think and to enjoy whatever! Perhaps then you can get on with your own life and enjoy the good memories of your late daughter. I hope so for your own comfort!
