Pier collapse plunges wedding party in lake
A video of a wedding party being plunged into a lake after the pier they were standing on collapsed has gone viral online.
The clip, from Eric and Maegan Walber's big day in Shelbyville, Michigan, has notched up more than 520,000 hits on YouTube.
The couple were posing with family and photographs on the pier at Gun Lake after exchanging vows when it happened.
"We were out there for probably 30 seconds, standing on the dock, and it started to lean and tilt," said Mr Walber. "We went right under."
Luckily the new Mrs Walber's evening wasn't completely ruined as she was able to change in to a dress she had worn to a rehearsal dinner the night before.
"I came up laughing," she told 24 Hour News 8. "It makes for a good story. We'll be telling our grandkids."
It comes just a month after a similar incident involving teenagers ahead of their prom night happened in Wisconsin.
They were posing for pictures on a wooden pier at Lac La Belle, Oconomowoc, when it suddenly collapsed.

I love the way the groom swims off leaving one of the bridesmaids to help the bride. The sign of a long and happy marriage? Hmmmmm, I'll let you decide...

Isn't it funny how Orange thinks every Youtube video has gone "Viral", whether it has been watched 5 times or 5 million times. I would say this one has "attracted a bit of interest".
