Police department tweets gamer's score

A US police department has apologised after its official Twitter account posted a Fruit Ninja player's score.

The tweet, by Dallas Police Department, was swiftly deleted, reports Digital Spy.

"I just sliced 38 fruit in Classic Mode on Fruit Ninja for iPhone!" the original tweet read.

A subsequent update clarified the situation, stating: "Our apologies for the Fruit Ninja tweet sent earlier.

"One of our kids played the game on our iPhone and unknowingly tweeted their score."

Fruit Ninja was recently named one of the top ten most-played arcade games of 2012 on Xbox Live
