Pub ghost 'caught on camera'
Spooked pub-goers say they have caught on camera the spirit that has been haunting their local for years.
Regulars at the Apsley House in Southsea, Hants, say a generous ghoul, believed to be the ghost of a former barman, keeps topping up their drinks.
And at a recent retirement party for one staff member, regular Paul Morgan says he finally photographed the mysterious phantom.
Mr Morgan, 47, said: "I was taking lots of photos with my iPhone because it was a fancy dress-themed party.
"I took a few of a group of friends and it was once I looked at them a while later I noticed something strange in the background.
"I took two shots in a matter of seconds. You can't see anything strange in the first, then a face appears in the next.
"It is very weird. I showed my kids and they couldn't believe it. There was no one near at the time."
Landlord Paul Wicks added they had nicknamed their ghostly regular Reedy - after actor and legendary drinker Oliver Reed.
"People say they have seen the ghost at the bar and that they feel things - cold spots things like that," he said.
"I am a sceptic but can't see any rhyme or reason for what is in that photo."

......Looks like a face mask, could it be that someone dropped it or threw it when the second shot was taken and it ended up in it?.....Also, in the report, the guy who took the shots said "there was no one near at the time", yet in the photo we are being shown there is clearly a group around the "ghost".... I am not a sceptic, but I think this could be a wind up for extra PUB-licity......

Very strange. If it had been a mask thrown by someone in the pub, as has been suggested, you'd have expected the guy in the white shirt to have been looking at it as it flew through the air. I suppose he could have been in on it though? If it is a ghostly apparition it's one pretty small ghost! Alternatively it could just be the reflection off that guy's gnashers!!!!

Since when has someones hands been a ghost? You can see the thumb on one hand and the bracelet/watch on the other wrist... Some people will make anything out of nothing for a story lol

Now that you say it and looking closely at the picture, you're right! Especially the top left of the "face". You can see it's the womans' fingers.....

Hmmm....dunno about ghosts, but there is phantom minus voter on here..:o)....Just to back Tracy Jade up, I enlarged the photo by 200% and you can clearly see it is the woman in the black dress' right hand(top) and an unknowns' hand (bottom). The guy obviously captured the hand gesturing during the conversation of the group..What can I say?.....I have nowt else better to, seeing as it's raining outside.....Is Orange now going to remove this false story?....Doubt it......

Some say its a ghost...... Some say its a hand...... But to the rest of us he is knows as the Stig...... But seriusly ? a Ghost ? Such things do not exist and have been proven to be nothing more that the creation of the brain and its ability to use its very creative imagination to see what you want to see. Much like harmless items in the daylight that when the lights are off cast a shadow that looks like something else

pah ahahahah!......the dreaded Phantom minus voter strikes again....Dont get me wrong, I believe in the paranormal and unexplained, but this isn't a photograph of a ghost.....if the guy bothered to check his photo's properly instead of jumping to conclusions, then he would clearly have noticed. Granted, it does look like a face at first glance, but look closer and take the time to study it properly and you can see it's 2 hands....

to be honest it could be anything. does not really look like anything to me. to many variable it could. before we go down the ghost route. forgive for being thick, but arent ghosts meant not to be able to photographed.
