Road barrier falls like dominoes

CCTV footage of a mile long road barrier collapsing like a row of dominoes is set to go viral.

The spectacular incident, in Jinhua City, China's Zhejiang Province, ended with the last section hitting a mini-van.

But fortunately no serious damages were caused and nobody was injured.

The 10 tonne dividing fence fell in just 30 seconds. It took traffic officers a lot longer to put it back up again, piece by piece.

Shao Zhichang, deputy head of a traffic police brigade in Jinhua, revealed that it was the second time in 10 days that the fence had fallen over.

Local officials say it is top-heavy and a strong gust of wind is sufficient to topple it.

They are now working with a construction company to build a new fence which will be fully tested before it is installed at the end of the month.
