Robber's bog standard disguise
US police are hunting a robber who held up a shop with toilet paper wrapped around his head to conceal his identity.
The man escaped on foot with cash following the raid on a convenience store in Lincoln, Nebraska.
He was caught on CCTV camera but police have so far been unable to identify their man.
"With that disguise, there isn't much to go on," a Lincoln police department spokesperson supposedly told The Smoking Gun website.
Officers used a police dog called Brix to try to track the robber down - and the dog did find a trail of the toilet roll disguise.
"Whether the evidence was two-ply or one-ply remained unknown," reports the local Lincoln Journal Star newspaper.
But the trail ran out after half a block and there was no sign of the man who had used a knife to persuade shop staff to hand over cash from the safe in the late night raid.
Capt David Beggs said the robber was still at large and described him as a white male, aged 25 to 33, and about 6ft 2ins tall.
Capt Beggs said the suspect had "blue eyes and a skinny face", and was wearing a black hat, black sweatshirt and dark jeans. Nobody was injured in the robbery.
