Spice up your life with hottest pizza in the world
With a name like the Saltdean Sizzler it's no surprise that this pizza could be the hottest in the world.
The fiery takeaway has been created by spicy food fanatic Paul Brayshaw, who owns Paul's Pizza in Saltdean, East Sussex.
The 32-year-old, has sold 1,307 of the pizzas since he started making them last year.
But only eight men and one woman have ended up on the 'Wall of Flame' after successfully consuming the whole thing.
Those who have failed end up on the 'Wall of Shame' instead.
Paul said: "I have always loved spicy food and that was what initially put the idea in my head.
"I also like watching the TV show Man vs Food and that inspired me to add this to my menu.
"The pizza starts of a nice red tomato colour but adding the sauce turns it into an evil black/red".
According to Paul he has only ever managed to consume two slices of his creation, and you need to complete all six before being allowed on the 'Wall of Flame'.
He has now contacted the Guinness World Record's office and the sizzler has been sent away for testing to confirm if it is the spiciest in the world.
To do this it must measure over 1 million on the Scovell scale, which measures the hotness of a chilli.
Paul has created his eye-watering level of spiciness by using one of the world's hottest chillies - the ghost chilli - and making a chilli paste with chilli extract to bring the spice level up even further.
The 10 inch pizza - which sells for £10.99 - has a standard pepperoni topping but this can be removed for vegetarians without compromising on spice.
