'Star' tattooist makes his mark again
A tattooist who inked 56 stars on a girl's face has caused a new controversy by writing his name across his young wife's face - less than 24 hours after he met her.
Ruslan Toumaniantz became notorious when he tattooed a galaxy of stars over the face of Kimberley Vlaeminck, then just 18, after she nodded off in his studio in Coutrai, Belgium.
Now Toumaniantz has struck again by tattooing his Christian name in letters five inches high across another girl's face.
Lesya Toumaniantz allowed him to sign 'Ruslan' over her face in giant Gothic script on the day they met.
The pair - who'd met online in Moscow, Russia - have since married.
"It's a symbol of our eternal devotion. I'd like him to tattoo every inch of my body," she said.
Ruslan fled Belgium after the scandal caused by his work on victim Kimberley's face.
"It is terrible for me. I cannot go out on to the street, I am so embarrassed. I just look horrible," said Kimberley, who has had laser treatment to try to remove Ruslan's work.

I have tattoos, you can not sleep through being tattood, that is all lies, she would've had to have been in a coma to have not felt that.

Exactly! U cannot sleep through the tattoo process. It's not painful,more a stinging feeling like a cat scratch. But it's enough to keep u alert!

Nat someone else told me that it stings at first but then you go a bit numb? Is that right cause i'm thinking of getting a very little one, just for the experience.

Louisa,it depends on the pain threshold of the individual. For me they don't feel so bad. They do feel numb after a bit. If it's only small then it won't be so bad :) it's the annoying itch u get a few days after that bugs me lol

A woman with a tattoo, is not a pretty sight. It looks bad enough on a man, but they do it to act more masculine, which is stupid enough. Women are supposed to be naturally attractive, for the obvious reasons, and tattoos just create the opposite effect.

I don't have any, because i'm a feartie and because i am so fickle that i probably wouldn't like it once it was finished. I think most are horrible but have seen some very nice ones. If they are an ugly design then they are equally ugly on a man or a woman

Yes,I got my tattoos to look more manly.... Pfft! I wear make up on occasion,I love shoes,my prized possessions are my very girly 1950s dresses and I'm not adverse to pastel pink things. Tattoos look great when done correctly by a top artist.

I have a few tats, movvi, had this discussion a few times, came to the conclusion if I live that long, rather than worry about saggy baggy tats, as long as I could still wipe my own b.m, they really wouldn't bother me, lol! X

The ones in the picture aren't nice. Never bought the wrinkly tattoo arguement though - always thought it doesn't matter if the rest of you is wrinkly anyway. Get them on a place that doesn't sag or wrinkle! Actually i can't think of any bits like that!

I love tattoos, I tattoo myself and know how much it hurts. I'd never have them on my face but I guess it's each to there own. Mine are for my enjoyment and show my beliefs. Some tats are fashion statements which is a mistake in my eyes. Anyone who says women look a mess with them should google suicide girls. When I'm old n frail people will see me and my tats and I'll still be proud of them.

Oh Stuart,a man after my own heart! I gave tattooing a go. Not easy! My friend had a kit and let me play about on some pig skin. Really enjoyed it.
