Student combines brains and brawn

A US student has proved he has both brains and brawn - by doing push-ups with one arm and solving a Rubik's Cube with the other.

Michael Kotch's unusual talent has made him an online star and earned him an appearance on national TV, reports the local Morning Call newspaper.

The 21-year-old, of Upper Milford Township, Pennsylvania, had been working out and solving Rubik's Cubes for years but only recently decided to combine the two.

He filmed himself doing push-ups and solving a Rubik's Cube in just 25 seconds simultaneously for a competition on the bodybuilder.com website.

He was thrilled when he learned he had won the online contest - but the response to his video didn't end there.

It went viral on YouTube and has now notched up more than 400,000 views, leading to the invitation to appear on Jay Leno's Tonight Show.

Mr Kotch said he had no idea his video would become so popular. "If I knew, I would have made myself look better," he said.

unusual talent ? Please Orange you need to get out more what this guy did is not unusual nore is it amazing its a simple memory trick that anyone can do if they spend alittle time learning a sequence of rotations because thats basicly all it is you take one solved Rubik's cube and then mess it up writing the the way you turn it then all you do is do the rotations in reverse to solve it and doing the same over and over you can learn it and there are vids all over youtube on how to learn to do this little trick. Once learned it no more dificult or amazing than walking and texting on your phone.
