Washington-like McNugget sells on eBay

McNugget /eBay

A Nebraska woman has sold a McDonald's Chicken McNugget resembling George Washington for more than £5,000 on eBay.

Rebekah Speight, of Dakota City, sold the three-year-old McNugget to raise money for a children's charity.

Mrs Speight says her children didn't eat their chicken nuggets during a McDonald's visit three years ago.

She was about to bin the food, then spotted Washington's resemblance and decided to freeze it instead.

eBay temporarily removed her auction last month because it violated rules regulating expired food.

But Mrs Speight later received an email saying the site was "willing to make exceptions to help your cause".

It eventually sold for $8,100 which will go towards sending 50 children to a summer church camp.

what do you think?

Raising money to send 50 children to church camp. Hmmm..... not sure about that..... Let hope they are old enough to make up their own minds about religion seeing as they will be spending a whole summer being told what to think.
