You can't move in Walford at the moment for returning Mitchells and now another lamb is about to return to the fold, in the shape of Phil's little sister Sam - or rather, Sam plus one. For when the blonde bombshell returns - no doubt manicured to within an each of her life and clad in a crotch-skimming neon outfit - she's pregnant.

Sam claims the dad-to-be is Ricky Butcher, but it soon emerges that the baby could actually be Jack Branning's. And the bombshell news comes just as Jack is about to get married to Sam's cousin Ronnie. Oh, what a tangled web those Mitchells weave!

Soap fans will recall that scheming Sam was jailed earlier this year for her role in Den Watts' death - and her return is sure to put the cat among the pigeons. A breathless EastEnders mole told the Daily Star on Sunday: "When Sam went to prison she told her family, including her mum Peggy, that she wanted nothing more to do with them.

"Viewers know nothing about her life inside, so imagine the shock they'll get when they see her heavily pregnant. She's made some comebacks but this one will definitely be the best." Hmmm, I think we'll be the judge of that, eh soap fans?
