VIDEO: Referee chased and attacked in Lebanese football match

Turkish referee Cuneyt Cakir may not be allowed back at Old Trafford after his performance last night but we don't think he'll be relocating to Lebanon anytime soon.

While Cakir was being sarcastically applauded by Rio Ferdinand in response to Nani's controversial red card, this ref in the East Mediterranean was being chased and attacked in a second division match between Al Nahda and Al Salam Zgharta.

Clearly upset with the official, one Al Nahda player literally runs after the silver fox, who shows a remarkable turn of pace and does well to avoid a few attempted slaps before slipping near the dugout and leaving the pitch.

Notice how security were quick off the mark to protect the referee...(insert Ferdinand's sarcastic slap).
