Aberdeen v Kilmarnock preview

Jonny Hayes and Peter Pawlett are out of the Aberdeen squad for the Scottish Premiership clash with Kilmarnock at Pittodrie.

Irishman Hayes will be out for six weeks with a collarbone injury sustained early in last week's Scottish League Cup final win against Inverness Caledonian Thistle at Celtic Park.

Pawlett missed the cup final with a hip injury but manager Derek McInnes expects him to be back much sooner than his Irish team-mate. Defender Clark Robertson returns to the squad after recovering from a knee injury.

Jackson Irvine returns for Kilmarnock who travel to the north-east to face an in-form Dons outfit.

The Australian missed last week's clash against his parent-club Celtic due to the terms of his on-loan deal.

However, defender Darren Barr and midfielder Sammy Clingan remain sidelined with hip and knee problems respectively.
