Aberdeen v Partick preview

Aberdeen duo Russell Anderson and Aston Taylor will have late fitness tests before Saturday's Scottish Premiership clash with Partick Thistle.

The pair, who are struggling with knee and calf injuries respectively, may miss the game along with winger Jeffrey Monakana who has been ruled out with a back injury.

Dons manager Derek McInnes is still searching for a first league victory of the season, with his side having lost two and drawn one of their opening three fixtures.

A victory would see his side leapfrog Thistle in the Scottish Premiership table.

McInnes said: "If we win on Saturday, then we will have taken six points from 12 which is the same start as last year."

Partick's new signing Jake Carroll is set to make his Jags' debut at Pittodrie having trained with the squad following his loan move from Huddersfield Town.

The defender will go straight into the squad for the match if he receives international clearance in time.
